New to Yoga?

Here’s the deal: we’ve all been there, even us yoga teachers. At some point, we were drawn to the practice of yoga and somewhere along the line we decided to pursue teaching it. You’re not alone in being new and the really good news is that you’ve come to the right place. Our aim is to provide you with an accessible yoga practice, regardless of your physical and mental capabilities. Not only are we trained to tailor our teaching to you, but we enjoy doing it.

FAQS

I’ve never done yoga before. Which class should I go to?
Start with Gentle or Restorative. They’re both perfect for beginners: slower classes where you’ll learn alignment techniques and get useful tips on how to practice and what to expect in the future. Remember, there is no such thing as a typical ‘yogi’. Everyone is welcome. Our classes offer yoga for men, women, old, young, injured, and athletic.
What do I need to bring?

An open mind, courageous attitude and a smile! We also recommend that you bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat if you have one. We also have mats that you can use for free so no worries if you don’t have one or if you forget yours.  A (throw) blanket can also be helpful. Everything else is provided for you at the studio!

What do I need to wear?
Comfortable clothing that you can move and sweat in. Some people like tight yoga pants, others wear sweat pants or athletic shorts. We practice in bare feet so please leave your shoes outside the studio door.
Do I need to sign up ahead of time or can I just show up?
You can do either! If you’d like to get your account set up ahead of time, you can do so here. Otherwise, you can show up 15 minutes before your first class and the teacher will get you all set up!
How much does it cost?

We offer a 3 class pass for $25!  This is only for new students, but gives you the opportunity to check out a variety of our classes so you can decide whether or not our studio is the right one for you! Upon completion of your pass, we offer a variety of packages. You can see all of them here.
